MATERIALS · THE HAUSE DECKING GUIDE

Compare products without getting lost in brand names.

Build a shortlist around documented requirements, real samples and Canadian availability.

A brand is the beginning of the comparison

Trex, TimberTech and Fiberon publish product, installation and warranty resources. Each offers different collections and systems; a familiar logo does not identify a particular board’s specification.

These links are research resources, not a statement that HAUSE is an authorized dealer or that a collection is stocked locally. Confirm Canadian supply and installer suitability for your location.

Make a product comparison sheet

  • Brand, collection, colour, edge profile and dimensions.
  • Core and cap construction; intended residential or commercial use.
  • Fasteners, fascia, stair details and support requirements.
  • Current product warranty and any separate labour programme.
  • Available lengths, delivery timing and substitution policy.

Save the dated documents that match the product quoted.

Make the final choice in person

Compare full physical samples in your lighting. Inspect texture, variation and exposed edges as well as the walking face. Ask whether the delivered batch is likely to show visible variation and how boards will be arranged.

Send your shortlist through the quote intake; choosing a preference does not approve an order or a substitution.
